We are currently recruiting for a Senior Childcare Lawyer to join a local authority based in South London on a part-time basis.
As a Senior Childcare Lawyer, you will be responsible for providing high quality legal advice on a variety of childcare matters. Duties will include;
- Undertaking a busy caseload of care proceedings and pre proceedings cases
- Advising and representing on care cases
- Handling PLO matters
- Emergency Protection Orders
- Conducting advocacy for Case Management Hearings and Issues Resolution Hearings
- Providing legal advice and support to clients and witnesses
- Dealing with complex care cases
- Being on hand to provide any advice to more junior team members
This is a brilliant opportunity to get on board with an amazing, supportive team while also being offered a competitive hourly rate. The client is seeking a childcare lawyer who is available to work part time, and can be flexible around the days worked.
The successful Senior Childcare Lawyer will be a driven Solicitor or Barrister with previous public childcare law knowledge and experience. Our client is happy to consider candidates from local government or private practice background and is open to childcare lawyers with any level of experience so long as they have experience managing a public childcare caseload.
The role is to work from home to start off with and might involve office presence once a week or once every two weeks from September.
