Contracts and Procurement Lawyer required to join a friendly, close-nit Local Authority in the Northamptonshire area.
Our client is seeking an enthusiastic and focussed individual to join their hard-working team. The successful Lawyer will provide high quality legal services in relation to commercial contracts work within the council.
As a Contracts and Procurement Lawyer, you will assume conduct of a broad caseload of interesting and complex legal work, with a bias towards public procurement and contracts and commercial work.
Your duties and responsibilities will include:
- Advice and casework in relation to Procurement and contracts
- Charities and companies
- Governance matters relating from contracts work
- Attending and advising decision-making bodies
- Preparing and processing legal documents
- Developing and delivering procurement, partnership and commercial projects

Our client is offering a very competitive hourly rate of £45-50 per hour and is seeking an individual looking to fit a new part-time role around their other working or non-working commitments. The assignment will begin on an initial 3 months basis, with the strong possibility for extension.
The Local Authority is conveniently based for national public transport services and enjoys the proximity of a variety of shops, cafes and restaurants.
