Excellent opportunity to join this exciting market leading business at its European head office in Manchester. Joining a small but experienced Payroll team you will administer the monthly payroll, including collating and data entry of new starters, leavers, overtime, employee benefits, salary sacrifice schemes, loans, pensions, advances, maternity and paternity leave for submission.
The business uses an external Payroll Bureau and this role liaises with them very closely to ensure the smooth running of the payroll function. Submission of payroll information to the payroll bureau, maintaining control systems to ensure payroll checks, analysis of payroll and resolving salaried payroll queries. Other duties include:
- Provide a first line support service to Colleagues and Line Managers in respect of payroll queries and resolve all queries in a timely manner.
- Responsible for ensuring that all management and support changes are actioned in a timely manner to ensure accurate payments and reporting.
- Coordinate the colleague new starter and leaver payroll processes to ensure accurate payments for colleagues and the business.
- Complete end of month payroll processing required for payroll provider and reporting / auditing as required.
- Administer pension auto-enrolment to ensure compliance with legislation and maintenance of accurate records including processing of new added workers, leavers and contributions and monitoring.
- Ensure all notifications of Sickness, Paternity/Maternity leave is communicated correctly to the payroll bureau.
- Assist in any requests for reporting or Stats from the Business.
- Any investigative projects and system improvements as and when necessary.
The successful applicant will have recent and relevant payroll experience including pensions and up to date UK employment tax knowledge. You will have strong interpersonal and communications skills with the ability to deliver under pressure and against tight deadlines. They have a UK workforce of circa 5500 and deal with a high number of starters and leavers due to the nature of the business.
