Actuarial Pensions Consultant (In-House) sought for a major FTSE 100 financial services organisation based in Central London. You will be a key member of a high profile team within the business taking responsibility for day-to-day activity surrounding the funding, accounting and capital position of their defined benefit schemes.
Our client is a key global player in the insurance markets with a large share of the UK market, they have be officially recognised as a great place to work and a top rated employer for several years running.
This role offers a unique opportunity to an ambitious Pensions Actuary and requires a candidate who is happy to roll their sleeves up 'to do the doing' but also present their findings and recommendations to a range of senior stakeholders - the ability to do both is essential.
The role to a large degree is 'standalone' giving you the autonomy to manage your own workload, but also means you must be comfortable operating with limited support to produce modelling / analysis. This role is perfectly suited to a recently qualified Actuary who enjoys senior stakeholder interaction but is still able to turn their hand to technical pensions work.
This role will give you a perfect springboard to progress into other areas of the business should you wish, whether that be in areas such as Investment or Capital.
- Qualified Actuary (ideally 1-2+ years PQE)
- Experience of defined benefit schemes
- Expert user of Excel
- Excellent communication skills
- Understanding of large financial services/insurance businesses advantageous
- Salary up to £80,000
- Bonus 25%
