Permanent Adult Social Care Lawyer
£41-51,000 PER ANNUM
Sellick Partnership has been asked to assist with the permanent recruitment of an Adult Social Care Lawyer to join a local authority based in the Home Counties region.
The successful Adult Social Care Lawyer will either have experience of working in a local authority undertaking adult social care matters from newly qualified through to experience or alternatively someone from a private practice setting which has exposure to adult social care matters ideally with court of protection or mental health that has transferable skills for the position.
The role itself will require you to handle your own caseload of adult social care matters which will include court of protection, deprivation of liberty, no recourse to public funds, mental health matters and assessments. Advocacy is now required for the role but is strongly encouraged and training can be provided in this area. You will be required to provide advice across the service and build up strong relationships with clients and work well in a team.
You will report directly to the Team Leader and be part of a team of 3 so it is imperative that you are a team player and able to grasp the work quickly in order to meet the demands of the work.
