Personal Injury Lawyer, In-house
Permanent - Full-time
A great opportunity for an Insurance PI Lawyer to join a specialist in-house Risk and Insurance Team within one of the UK's most successful social businesses. The client has a multi-billion GBP insurance programme and is looking for an individual to help them develop their in-house capabilities and lead on the investigation and handling of all legal liability claims. The Insurance Lawyer will be collaborating with stakeholders, handling legal claims from start to finish and dealing with both litigated and non-litigated cases. The ideal candidate will be either a qualified (Solicitor or Legal Excusive) Personal Injury Lawyer or an experienced paralegal, who is results orientated and has experience of handling liability claims within the insurance industry or a related role. Supervisory experience is also useful as the successful Insurance Lawyer will be overseeing a team and ensuring excellent customer service is provided. Key Responsibilities of an Insurance Lawyer
- Handling public liability claims within the insurance industry or similar
- Working with the in-house liability negotiators
- Overseeing claims handling staff
- Establishing claims reserves
- Acting as the main port of call for all legal liability claims
- Managing the claims portal for personal injury claims
Required skills and experience of the Insurance Lawyer
- People management experience
- Understanding of liability and insurance legislation
- Understanding of insurance and claims within high volume environment
- Qualified solicitor, paralegal, legal executive or related insurance qualification(s)
