Do you have great communication skills and the ability to negotiate outcomes? Are you interested in Planning and Development within towns?

Sellick Partnership is working on behalf of an organisation searching for a hands-on Planning and Development Officer to work on householder planning applications and minor works applications

Duties and responsibilities of the Planning and Development Officer include:

  • Proactively monitoring planning developments
  • Monitoring planning conditions and requirements of legal agreements
  • Proactively providing advice to developers where appropriate
  • Investigating planning breaches
  • Process 'discharge of condition' notices
  • Liaising with the legal departments
  • Representing Housing and Planning Services at meetings
  • Responding to pre-application approaches
  • Providing advice to local Ward Members

Essential experience required:

  • Chartered Town Planner status
  • Recent experience in a planning and/development role within a public sector environment
  • Knowledge of planning regulations
  • Working knowledge of MS Office, Idox and Uniform
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle
