A great opportunity for a Planning Lawyer to join a well-regarded central London Borough on an initially locum contract, 3 to 6 months, with the potential to be extended.

The successful Planning lawyer will work within the Law and Governance department within the Planning and Contracts team, a welcoming and supporting group, and will have a range of responsibilities, such as:

  • Appearing in Court and at Chambers
  • Undertaking litigious cases where appropriate
  • Planning enforcements, planning inquiries and planning committees
  • Section 106's
  • Compulsory Purchase Orders

The Planning Lawyer will report to the Senior Planning Lawyer, but a high level of initiative is expected in order for the post-holder to manage their own caseload. Local Authority experience is desirable but certainly not obligatory; those with Australian, New Zealand or South Africa qualifications are also strongly encouraged to apply.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Zanub Najmi in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
