An exciting opportunity for a Planning Lawyer to join a popular central London Borough as their Planning Team Leader. This is on an initially locum basis, 3 to 6 months, but will likely extend for longer.

The Planning Team Leader should be an experienced local government lawyer and will be leading the Borough's planning team. The Planning Team Leader will be a member of the management team and will be delivering legal services in respect of planning matters and regeneration projects, such as:

  • Judicial reviews
  • Planning inquiries
  • Conduct of some cases
  • Directing response to emerging situations or emergencies

The Planning Team Leader should be either a Solicitor, Barrister, or equivalent, and will possess substantial and relevant PQE. Managerial experience is ideal but not mandatory, while local authority experience is essential due to the nature of the role and the managerial responsibilities.

There are a number of benefits from working at this Borough, including:

  • Great central location
  • Competitive rate
  • Nearby transport links
  • Flexible working, such as 1-day a week working from home

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Zanub Najmi in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
