Role: Practice Management Officer

Location: Central Birmingham

Hourly rate: £9.67 PAYE plus holiday pay

My client is a large public sector organisation based in central Birmingham. They are looking for a bright and proactive individual to join their Practice Management Team on a locum basis as a Practice Management Officer.

As a Practice Management Officer in this organisation you will be tasked with a range of duties, meaning each day brings new challenges and a diverse work load. This is a fast paced environment and will enable you to work autonomously, whilst forming part of a larger team. You will work across all the legal services, assisting all the individual teams, resulting in an interesting work load of matters relating to children's law, employment law, contractual law, property law, and risk and compliance. Daily tasks will include:

- Reviewing the local and national press in relation to the organisation

- Organising 'new starter packs' for new members of staff

- Ordering and reviewing health and safety equipment

- Booking training courses for solicitors

- Maintenance of the legal library used by the legal assistants and solicitors

- Researching case law for solicitors

This role is ideally suited to someone looking for full time hours. Whilst the client can offer training the ideal candidate will have experience in a research role such as a research assistant or a librarian. Alternatively, you may also have a background in a legal assistant or paralegal capacity. Legal nouse and research skills are key for this client.
