This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding in-house legal team as the Interim Practice Manager.
As Interim Practice Manager you will work closely with and provide support to the Head of Legal. You will be responsible for conducting a review of the current case management system, alongside other processes and internal policies.
Your role will be pivotal with regards to the delivery of strategic goals and the continual development and growth of this organisation and its in house legal services offering. On a daily basis you will provide business support to the legal services team and help the service to achieve its overall aim of being a high quality, sustainable and competent Legal Service.
You will be responsible for effective governance and compliance, ensuring quality approaches are established and implemented providing appropriate advice, support and monitoring for agreed processes. This will include routine evidence based highlight reporting, management of compliments and complaints, timescales and quality and accurate record keeping.
Your day to day duties may include responsibility for the below:-
- Financial management
- HR and Recruitment including agency staff
- Office administration
- Physical office and IT requirements
- Library and online resources
- Complaints against the legal team
- External relationships with contractors and external firms
- Monitoring work in progress and ensuring files are closed in a timely manner
- Key results reporting
The successful candidate will have worked as a Practice or Business Manager previous and come with a track record of reviewing services and implementing change. You will be adept at writing policies, and implementing procedures to control such policies.
This is an initial locum position so candidates must be available to start new roles imminently. ***This role will be worked remotely and all IT equipment will be provided by the client.
