Practice Manager (Finance)

Sellick Partnership are currently recruiting for a qualified Finance Manager for our client based in Huntingdon. The Finance Manager will be tasked with leading, developing and managing the finance department for the company as well as liaising with and building relationships with key stakeholders across the business.

Main duties for the Finance Manager will include:

  • Ensuring statutory and SAR compliance across the firm by following good practice
  • Recruiting and retaining a team of professional staff to support with providing a stable financial platform for the firm, ensuring monies are received promptly
  • Developing and maintaining excellent client relationships with both existing and potential clients
  • Regular and accurate monitoring and reporting on financial performance
  • Ensuring all working systems are robust and comply with all legal service requirements
  • Presenting to the Board of Directors and shareholders on financial information, such as budgets and reports on a monthly basis
  • Tender preparation
  • Managed the budget cycle from setting to preparation and providing advice to budget holders
  • Forecasting and other month end duties
  • Supporting on the preparation of business planning and costing exercises

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Staff management experience
  • Hold a CCAB qualification
  • Have experience of compiling year end and statutory statements
  • Detailed knowledge of capital accounting
  • Knowledge of insurance frameworks and treasury management
  • Ability to build positive and proactive client relationships
  • Strong decision making skills
  • Integrity and confidentiality
  • High levels of motivation and organisational skills
