Pricing Analyst

Following an exciting period of Data Science driven transformation, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Pricing Analyst to join their skills with a leading player in the UK General Insurance industry. Our Leeds-based client are seeking to recruit a Pricing Analyst with 1-2 years of General Insurance experience - the successful candidate will have excellent analytical skills, a keen eye for detail and a desire to expand their technical proficiency. Strong graduates will also be considered.

Key responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst:

  • Building Pricing models from scratch using specialist software such as Emblem
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of existing Pricing models
  • Conduct Price Optimisation using software such as Radar
  • Work on a variety of our client's products including Telematics, Household and Commercial Motor
  • Liaise with stakeholders across the business to answer ad-hoc Pricing queries
  • Implement Machine Learning techniques to day-to-day Pricing activities
  • Carry out data analysis using SAS and SQL

Experience of the Pricing Analyst

  • Minimum 2.1 in a relevant degree such as Mathematics or Engineering is advantageous
  • Prior General Insurance experience is preferable
  • 1-2 years of Pricing experience is advantageous
  • Excellent problem solving skills and attention to detail
  • Demonstrable interest in Machine Learning techniques
  • Some progress with Actuarial exams would be advantageous
