Our client, a leading Global General Insurer is seeking a Pricing Analyst for their product team. This role would be ideally suited for an experienced Pricing Professional looking to develop their career at a more technical level.
Our client has seen massive success in using open source Data Science tools (R / Python) and require a Pricing Analyst to continue developing similar Machine Learning Pricing Models.
As a Pricing Analyst you would be responsible for developing and managing Pricing Models using various Pricing tools & methods, investigate and deploy new datasets, work closely with various internal stakeholders and report to the Head of Pricing.
The Pricing Analyst will need to have experience with General Insurance products, hold a numerical degree or demonstrate strong numerical skills and have a strong technical skillset (Radar, Emblem, SQL) - experience in R & Python is beneficial but not essential.
Responsibilities of the Pricing Analyst
- Building models (GLMs) from scratch
- Creating, validating and reconciling datasets for analysis and undertake analysis
- Creating, maintaining and deploying rating models to predict claims cost and allocate expenses
- Contributing to the specification, development and testing cycles for deployment of rates
- Considering the impact on customers of Pricing and acting to avoid any unfair treatment.
