Principal Childcare Lawyer

Permanent Opportunity

£50 - 60,000

East Midlands

Principal Childcare Lawyer is required to join a shared service arrangement on a permanent basis.

Our client is a large shared service which prides itself on providing legal services to local government and public sector clients.

The successful Principal Childcare Lawyer will be responsible for overseeing one of the Childcare teams in the service.

You will be required to undertake the following duties;

  • Have overall management of the childcare team to include Senior lawyers with management, senior lawyers, lawyers and paralegals
  • Undertake appraisals and 1-2-1 with your direct reports
  • Attend management meetings
  • Conduct a small caseload of the more complex public childcare matters which tend to be more high profile
  • Assist with recommendations and provide support in improvements to the service
  • Support and train members of the team

This is an excellent opportunity for those who have previous management experience but are looking to lead and develop a growing team. Our client is happy to consider candidates with experience from private or public sector but must have significant experience in public childcare law.
