Principal Contract Lawyer is required to join a public sector organisation on a locum basis for a period of 3-6 months initially with the view of extension thereafter.
Our client is looking for an experienced public sector commercial contract lawyer to join their legal services on an interim basis whilst they go through a period of permanent recruitment. The role has arisen due to someone leaving permanently at the end of February therefore our client is keen to have someone come in and undertake a handover period of 1-2 weeks.
The successful Principal Contract Lawyer will be required to have previous management experience and you will be overseeing a small team of 4 lawyers and 1 paralegal. You will be required to delegate files across the team, undertake 1-1's and be the primary contact across the team to external and internal clients.
This organisation offers some high value and interesting work with some development projects and complex contract mantters.
Our client is happy to consider candidates who are looking for either 4 or 5 days per week and is happy to consider flexible and remote working for some part of the week which makes this role really attractive.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
