We are looking for an experienced local government lawyer to join a London Local Authority as a Principal Enforcement and Prosecutions Lawyer.
As a Principal Enforcement and Prosecutions Lawyer you will be responsible for leading the enforcement team while undertaking a varied caseload of prosecutions matters, which may include:
- Social housing fraud
- Food safety
- Environmental health and safety matters
The successful Enforcement Lawyer will ideally have some management experience in order to supervise and lead members of the team. Due to the nature of this role, you will be expected to conduct advocacy as and when needed.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Solicitor or Barrister with advocacy experience to join one of the fastest growing Local Authorities, where you can get involved with interesting projects and provide high quality legal services.
The offices are accessible by close proximity to transport links, and there is also the opportunity to work from home following an initial settling in period.
The contract is for an initial 6 month period, although it is likely that this will be extended.
