Are you a Property Lawyer with planning experience looking to progress your career?
The London Borough of Redbridge and the Sellick Partnership have an exciting opportunity for a Principal Property and Planning Lawyer.
The Principal Property and Planning Lawyer will have the following responsibilities:
- Providing expertise to Redbridge Council in relation to planning or property matters including, landlord and tenant act matters, acquisition and disposals of land, deeds of easement/wayleaves, CPOs and highways agreements, etc.
- Providing strategic and operational advice
- Representing Legal Services at meetings with Councillors, etc. and representing Redbridge Council at external meetings and hearings
- Budgetary responsibility
The ideal candidate will have experience in both property and planning law, but Redbridge Council are also open to experienced property lawyers who could attend Planning Committee if the lawyers were unable to attend, and is willing to pick up planning work.
As a permanent employee, the Principal Property and Planning Lawyer will receive the Local Government Pension Scheme, employment security and Pay Protection. Redbridge Council also offer flexible working patterns and arrangements.
Redbridge Council are working entirely remotely now and for the foreseeable future, but the Principal Lawyer should be within a commutable distance or willing to travel on an ad hoc basis.
Local Authority experience is preferable but not essential.
