Sellick Partnership are working with a fantastic Local Authority based in the Derbyshire area, who are looking for a Principal Legal Officer to join their team on a permanent basis.
As the Principal Legal Officer you will be responsible for a team of 3 Legal Officers and 1 Paralegal and report directly to the Head of Legal Services.
The ideal candidate will have considerable Prosecutions/Civil Litigation experience and you will be involved in matters regarding:
- Planning enforcement
- Blue Badge/Benefit Fraud
- Housing/Anti-Social Behaviour
- Environmental Health
Previous line management experience is not essential so applications from Solicitors or Legal Executives who are looking for that next step in their career are welcome. This is a permanent role and the start date will be dependent on the successful candidate's notice period.
The role is full time and based at our clients' offices in Derbyshire with onsite parking provided for employees. The salary is competitive (dependant on experience) and flexible working hours are offered between 8am and 6pm. You will receive a Local Government pension, access to online Local Government flexible benefits and a generous annual leave entitlement.
