Exciting opportunity for a Litigation Lawyer with the London Borough of Redbridge!
Sellick Partnership are delighted to be exclusively working with Redbridge Council in helping them find a Principal Lawyer for Litigation.
This is a permanent opportunity and will include all of the associated benefits including Pay Protection, the Local Government Pension Scheme, paid holidays and sick leave, and flexible working patterns.
The Principal Litigation Lawyer will:
- Be Redbridge Council's principal source of expertise in respect of civil and criminal litigation, including providing representation and advice
- Be in charge of Redbridge Council's litigation caseload
- Preparing reports for and attending Redbridge Council's cabinet and representing Legal Services at meetings with Councillors
- Hold budgetary responsibility for the Litigation Team
- Managing the Litigation Team
Given the nature of the role, the Principal Litigation Lawyer should have experience in this area and be able to provide advice to the highest level.
The Principal Litigation Lawyer will be a qualified solicitor or equivalent. Local authority experience is of course highly advantageous but is not a requirement.
