Principal Litigation and Deputy Monitoring Officer

Hertfordshire - Remote working

6 months +

Principal Litigation Lawyer and Deputy Monitoring Officer is required to join a local authority on an interim basis for a period of 6 months initially and the view to extend thereafter.

The successful Principal Litigation Lawyer and Deputy Monitoring Officer will be responsible for;

- Undertaking a caseload of criminal litigation matters mainly prosecutions related

- Managing licensing matters and attending licensing committee once every few months

- Picking up matters in relaton to information law

- Deputising for the Monitoring Officer and advising on governance matters

- No management is required

This is a great opportunity for someone who has previous experience of working for a district or borough council and someone who is able to turn their hands to a range of matters The post is working fully remote apart from committee meetings and licensing matters which tend to be 3 times a year.
