Starting salary £76,000
Principal Pensions Lawyer is required to join a large and renowned regulatory body based in Sussex on a permanent basis.
This is a incredible opportunity to join a fantastic legal team which holds an excellent reputation in the market. Please note that this role does not involve any management responsibilities but will require significant previous experience of pensions and trust law due to the work that is involved. You will be joining a large legal team with experienced and less experienced lawyers.
The successful Principal Pensions Lawyer will be undertaking some of the following duties;
- Broad range of work to include advisory work which will be providing legal advice to the Regulator and will include advice on the development and review of regulatory codes and guidance
- Implement new legislation of the availability of the Regulator's powers to deliver mitigation where appropriate and take enforcement action when required
- Policy related work in relation to the development of policies and working processes to include legislation in relation to public service pensions
Our client is open to hearing from candidates who have ideally worked in a private practice or regulatory body setting and those who possess a broad range of knowledge in pensions and trust law. They are currently moving to a model of 1 day in the office a week and will be looking to bring this to 2 days per week from April 2022.
