Principal Property Lawyer

Home Counties

£55 - 60 per hour

A popular Local Authority in the East Midlands is seeking an experienced Principal Property Lawyer to join their growing and supportive team in the Home Counties. The role is advertised on a remote working basis to start ASAP until the permanent member of staff starts at approx. April 22'.

Our client is seeking someone with significant commercial property experience within a public sector setting to hitting the ground running. The post would involve some management but the successful candidate does not necessarily need to possess previous management experience as the client is happy to support with this.

The successful candidate will be delegating matters but also picking up a more complex property workload that will comprise mainly commercial work but experience of leasehold would be highly beneficial.

This position will be fast-paced and it is therefore imperative that the property lawyer is confident in handling a full caseload consisting of, but not limited to, the following matters:

  • General property advice
  • Property Development Easements and Licences Option and Promotion Agreements
  • Commercial leases, Acquisition and sale of commercial and residential property
  • Rent reviews, Dilapidation issues, Tenancy and Licence Agreements, Planning Issues, Conditional Contracts, Property related Joint Venture Agreements, Auction Acquisitions/Disposals Knowledge, Skills and Experience

This is a great opportunity to join a team and gain experience at this level for those looking to progress. This local authority holds an excellent reputation in the market also.

Ideally, the post would start in the next week but we are also happy to consider a January start.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
