About the Role:

A Private Law Litigation Lawyer is required to join a Central Government Litigation team to handle a busy and varied Private Law caseload. The ideal candidate will be a qualified Lawyer (Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent) and have strong private law civil litigation experience. The Lawyer will also have a background in Personal Injury and will join the organisation for a minimum of 11 months.

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate for this Private Law Litigation Lawyer role will have:

  • 2+ years PQE
  • Strong background in Private Law Litigation
  • Personal Injury experience
  • Civil Litigation experience

Key responsibilities
The successful candidate for this Private Law Litigation Lawyer role will be required to:

  • Dealing with a mixed private law caseload
  • Acting on behalf of Government departments for damages for unlawful detention
  • Handling Personal Injury claims brought by employees and others
  • Handle cases all the way from pre-action stage up to and including appeals
