Procurement Manager

Sellick Partnership are currently working with a local authority organisation to recruit for a Procurement Manager.

We are seeking a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for the delivery of the organisation's procurement strategy, through the development of effective internal processes that support and maximise effiency and productivity. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day management for the procurement activity, ensuring compliance with procedures and process across the organisation through provision of advice and guidance to officers throughout the organisation, enabling them to achieve best value for money.

In this role, you will focus on improvement of relations with existing suppliers while finding and vetting new suppliers who can meet our needs more efficiently and assist the growth of the organisation, you will need to demonstrate ability to work on own initiative with flexibility and adaptability as well as being an excellent team leader and mentor, capable of working collaboratively, as a key part of this role will be working collaboratively with all colleagues across the organisation and supporting them to procure a range of goods and services.

You will be a strong negotiator with suppliers, able to demonstrate strong experience of delivering measurable costs savings through successful supply chain management, along with good end to end procurement knowledge gained in the public or private sector.
