Hourly rate: £47k to £54k
Procurement Manager required to join a dynamic Public Sector Procurement team based in Birmingham. As the Procurement Manager you will deliver a strategic Procurement service for customers, leading on specific projects within a portfolio of projects/programmes that delivers high value and cost efficiency savings.
As the Procurement Manager, you will assist the Procurement Lead in the delivery of the annual work plan ensuring performance to key milestones and agreed key performance indicators are achieved. You will also deliver guidance and advice, ensuring projects are legally compliant.
Key responsibilities for the Procurement Manager:
To deliver a strategic Procurement service for customers, leading on specific projects within a portfolio
Work on collaborative procurement projects across a diverse range of stakeholders
Implementing efficient and effective procurement projects within key markets
To provide specialist training to customers on the implications of procurement legislation
To deliver against key performance indicators and project milestone
To develop strong customer/stakeholder relationships
Carrying out market analysis
Person Specification for the Procurement Manager:
Experience working within a complex procurement environment
Public sector experience desirable but not essential
CIPs qualification or studying towards
Strong stakeholder management skills
