Sellick Partnership are currently looking to recruit a Permanent Procurement Manager for our Public Sector client based in Barnsley.

Job Purpose:

  • To be responsible for the development and management of the company's procurement strategy, policy and procedures
  • To ensure the company achieves best value from its procurement activity and continuously improves its approach to procurement
  • To lead the Company's Procurement and Stores teams
  • To manage all aspects of the stores function
  • To contribute to the ongoing drive for efficiency and improvement

The duties of the Procurement include:

  • Lead on the strategic development of procurement activity
  • To develop, implement and maintain the company's Procurement Policy and associated procurement procedures
  • To develop a programme of prioritised procurement initiatives
  • To develop and maintain systems of governance
  • To lead on the implementation of IT to modernise the delivery of the procurement, purchasing and stores function
  • Monitoring supplier contracts
  • Prepare contract documentation and advice on tender specifications

  • MCIPs qualified
  • An inspirational leader
  • Strong procurement knowledge
  • Ability to prepare and present reportsF

Further information: 45k to 48k and a mix of home working and office based
