Project Accountant

Sellick Partnership is currently working on behalf of a large Newcastle based charitable organisation to appoint a Project Accountant on a fixed term basis. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with experience in project management and financial system implementation to join a finance team undergoing significant change.

This is a fixed term opportunity for a period of 18 months.

Key responsibilities:

  • Develop business modelling for tenders and business change initiatives, testing assumptions and key sensitivities including root cause analysis
  • Project manage enhancing in-house Payroll function, in collaboration with Finance Director and HR Department
  • Scope new financial software requirements and commence market analysis for a solution which will integrate into new HR & Payroll solution
  • Review the Procure to Pay function to identify short-term efficiencies within EWP
  • Work with Data Insights team on temporary solution for financial information extract from Sage 200 into Operational dashboard

This role is based in Newcastle upon Tyne, however the team have adopted agile working so it would be possible to work remotely at times.

The successful candidates will have:

  • CIMA (or equivalent) professional qualification
  • GCSE Maths & English (A*-C/4-9) or equivalent
  • Project management experience
  • Financial system implementation experience
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service experience, including positive influencing and managing expectations skills
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Advanced Excel
