We are currently recruiting for an exciting opportunity for a Project Lawyer to join a South Central London Borough on a locum 3-month contract, with the scope to go onto an ongoing basis.
The Project Lawyer will sit in the Corporate Resources Department and will provide information governance and data protection advice to the Council, undertaking duties such as:
- Providing advice to the Council on legislation and case law
- Assisting in the development of and operation of IT systems used by the team
- When required, to supervise trainees and other staff
- Providing an advisory, litigation and advocacy service
The Council offer flexible working to their employees, such as working from home, and are conveniently located right by public transport links and a variety of cafes, restaurants and shops.
The Project Lawyer will have thorough knowledge of data protection and information governance legislation. Applicants with local authority experience are highly desirable, but our client will strongly consider those from other backgrounds, so long as they have relevant skills.
