Project Officer - Planning and Reporting

Salary £31,377 - £37,939

Location: Leeds

The role

Working for one of the North's leading government bodies whose aim and purpose is to improve prosperity across the North of England and support the objectives of the Northern Power House. The purpose of the Project Officer -Planning & Reporting is to support management, control and/or delivery of projects of work to meet defined objectives in support of a major programme.

The PMO Project Officer will be the lead role in delivering the programmes planning and reporting activities across multiple projects and workstreams. The Project Officer will maintain an effective PMO to enable the efficient functionality of projects and programmes.

Required experience and qualifications

Demonstrable post-qualification experience of supporting the management of complex, multi-stakeholder projects using the Prince 2 methodology (or recognised equivalent).

Demonstrable post qualification experience in successful management of a Programme Management Office.

Skilled in using industry standard project and programme management tools.

Ability to compile clear and concise technical and non-technical reports to a range of audiences including political, professional and lay-person.

Strong analytical skills, based on systems, models and metrics relevant to specialist area.

Successful experience, managing developing and motivating a team.

Required qualifications

- Degree in a relevant subject or equivalent experience.

- Professional qualification, chartered status or equivalent experience

- Programme Management qualification - Prince 2 Foundation or equivalent.
