Property Legal Assistant is required to join a local authority based to the North of London to assist with a voluntary registration project on behalf of the council.
The land registry is currently advising local authorities to register their unregistered land and as such the council is looking at securing someone on a locum basis to assist one property lawyer with this particular project.
Such tasks will include identifying such land and looking into how it came into ownership by the council. You will be working closely with the estates team, reading through deed packets, submitting applications and approving title plans. This with the view for the end of the project to see all land registered by the council.
This is a lovely opportunity for a law or LPC graduate who has had some exposure to property law looking to gain invaluable experience within a local authority which will offer excellent support in getting you up and running with this type of work.
This role will be to start at the end of March and will require a commitment of 6 months as a minimum but has scope to extend for 2 years.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively, should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying, please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
