This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy legal department at the London Borough of Lewisham. You will be required to support the team under the direction and the supervision of the Senior lawyer. You will deal with varied routine legal and administrative work, mainly within the property team.
What are the responsibilities of the Property Paralegal?
The role is to support the lawyers within the property team. You will prepare documents and liaise with parties in respect of lease extensions, collective enfranchisements and right to buy matters; assist with straightforward property transactions and contract and procurement matters.

What we're looking for in a Property Paralegal:
We are looking for someone that has a basic knowledge of local authority procedures and areas of law relevant to the role. We require someone that has the ability to learn and understand quickly who can work on their own initiative. You will have an eye for accuracy and can ensure quality and consistency of documents produced. You will need to be able to work with a wide range of people and work as an effective member of a team dealing with a variety of duties.
Location
The job is primarily based in Laurence House, but Lewisham operate a hybrid approach where you will be required to work both in the office and from home on a regular basis.
