Prosecutions and Licensing Lawyer

£45-50 per hour

Prosecutions and Licensing Lawyer is required to join a local authority based in the South East for a period of 3 months initially with the view of extension due to a transition period of recruiting on a permanent basis.

Our client is ideally looking for someone with experience in local government prosecutions which will include matters such as planning prosecutions e.g. enforcement notices, food and hygeine, parking etc. You will also be required to pick up licensing matters which will include licensing committee and licensing appeals along with policy related work.

The role will be remote working but you will be required to attend Magistrates court for hearings once a week usually with licensing committees once every month.

This role is to start ASAP however the client is willing to wait for the right candidate should there be someone on a slightly longer notice than the usual 1-2 weeks. This council is a great council to work for and offers a wide range of work within their litigation team.

We encourage interested applicants seeking part time or full time to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Chelsey Newsom in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
