Sellick Partnership are recruiting for a Prosecutions Lawyer to join a well regarded London based Local Authority, over an initial 3 month's contract.

The successful Prosecutions Lawyer will be required to pick up an existing caseload from the outset and must be able to provide a high quality and comprehensive legal service on all aspects of criminal law/prosecutions.

This a great opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join a successful and stable legal team, undertaking a variety of enforcement work for the Council. Ideally, the successful Prosecutions Lawyer will be able to hit the ground running and have recent Local Authority experience in, and provide dedicated support on the following:

  • Banning Orders under the Housing and Planning Act 2016
  • Rent Repayment Orders
  • Proceeds of Crime Act proceedings
  • Prosecutions and Financial Penalties under the Housing Act 2004
  • Trading standards
  • Covid enforcement
  • Fraud
  • Education
  • Environmental/waste
  • Street trading

In addition to the above details, you will be required to appear in court tribunal/chambers as appropriate.
