Prosecutions Lawyer

Exciting opportunity for an experienced Prosecutions Lawyer to work within a well-established London Council.

Our client is looking for a Prosecutions Lawyer with local authority experience to join their welcome team.

This role is an initial 3 months with the potential to become long-term on a rolling basis. The successful candidate will work from the office/in court 1 - 2 days per week and remotely for the remainder. The client offers a competitive rate of £35 - £50 per hour umbrella rate dependant on experience.

This is a great opportunity to join this well-regarded team, working on interesting and varied matters on an ongoing contract basis.

The role will include delivering advice and legal support on the following matters, and more:

  • Parking fraud
  • Dog fouling
  • Benefit fraud
  • Penalty charges
  • Fraud grant applications
  • COVID relief grants
  • Sub-letting

This role would be suited to a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive with previous experience working in local government as a Prosecutions Lawyer.
