Sellick Partnership are thrilled to be recruiting to for a Prosecutions Lawyer to join a popular, centrally-located, London Borough Council on a 3-month locum contract, with the view to extend.
The Prosecutions lawyer will have their own caseload of prosecution cases and regulatory advisory work, including but not limited to:
- Advising the council and its' departments on a wide range of prosecution litigation
- Conducting advocacy in the Magistrates' Court
- Drafting summons, indictments and notices
- Health and safety breaches
Due to the nature of the Prosecution Lawyer role, experience of public sector prosecution work and regulatory work is required, including having conducted advocacy before the Magistrates' Court. Those with experience of licensing work, such as having advised a licensing committee, are highly desirable, but this experience is not essential.
