***Calling all criminal solicitors*** Is advocacy one of your key skills? Are you comfortable in both the Magistrates and Crown Courts? Are you a strong and effective communicator? Are you looking to gain public sector experience?
If the answer to the above is 'Yes', then this could be your perfect next career step.
Our client is in need of a strong and experienced criminal litigator to join their stable in-house team. As a prosecutions solicitor you will undertake a broad and varied range of cases, all with a criminal element. The ideal candidate will have considerable prosecutions experience and be able to tackle several of the below areas with no guidance needed:
- Planning enforcement
- Social Housing Fraud
- Blue badge prosecutions
- Environmental health
- Trading standards
You will be an experienced advocate and this role is ideal for someone who is looking to move away from criminal defence work and gain a 360 degree view of criminal work to further build their CV. This opportunity would also suit someone with a strong CPS background and a sound understanding of the court systems and workings. You must be a qualified solicitor (or equivalent) and Higher Rights of Audience is advantageous, but certainly not a pre requisite for this role.
This is a full time role based at my client's offices in central Birmingham. Courts are located within walking distance of the offices, so no car is necessary. To have a chat and ask any questions you might have please contact me directly.
We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Kate Jasper in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
