About the Role:

An exciting opportunity for 2 Public Law Litigation Lawyers to join a Government Legal Department for a minimum of 11 months. The ideal candidates will have extensive litigation experience and a good knowledge of public law. The Public Law Litigation Lawyer may deal with claims against the likes of DWP, the Cabinet Office and the DexEU.

Key Requirements
The ideal candidate for this Public Law Litigation Lawyer role will have:

  • Previous substantial litigation experience
  • Previous employment within the Public Sector/Government would be an advantage but is not essential.
  • Knowledge of the law relating to injunctions and/or public law would be an advantage, but is not essential
  • Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or equivalent

Key responsibilities
The successful candidate for this Public Law Litigation Lawyer role will be required to:

  • Conducting a mixed work load of injunctions and other civil litigation which would include private and public law actions
  • Draft witness statements
  • Oversee the conduct of all files taking them through to settlement and or litigation when necessary

  • Central Government role
  • Central London Location
  • £25-34 per hour
  • 11 month contract with likely extension
