Sellick Partnership are currently looking to recruit an interim Purchase Ledger Clerk to join one of our Public Sector clients based in Sheffield.

 

The duties of the interim Purchase Ledger Clerk:

 

  • Coding, processing and filing invoices
  • Collecting and processing expense claims
  • Ensuring that all invoices or expenses requests are correctly calculated, approved and coded
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Liaising with suppliers concerning invoice queries
  • Investigating and resolving purchase ledger queries as required
  • Responsible for the monthly closure of the Purchase Ledger
  • Set up payment runs on banking system and follow up to ensure timely release
  • Update purchase order system with invoice details
  • Allocate payments against invoices

 

Person Specification:

 

  • Relevant knowledge and understanding in a similar role
  • The ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • A strong customer service focus and the ability to build effective working relationships with employees and external stakeholders/suppliers
  • The ability to work to deadlines and adopt a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business
  • High attention to detail and an orderly approach to processing

Hours of work: Full Time, Monday to Friday

Hourly rate: £9 to £10.50 per hour

Location: Office based
