Sellick Partnership are currently assisting in the recruitment of a Purchase Ledger, on behalf of a well-established construction, engineering and multi-utilities company based in Teesside. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing accounts team, with opportunities to develop within the department.

As a Purchase Ledger, the successful candidate will work with other members of the accounts team to support in the day to day functions of our client and its subsidiaries. The role of a Purchase Ledger Clerk is to provide a professional and efficient service to the finance function, monitoring how much is always owed and providing accurate financial information as and when needed.


  • Inputting of Purchase Invoices
  • Reconciliation of monthly supplier statements
  • Preparation and submission of monthly payment run
  • One off BACS payments as necessary
  • Upkeep of circa 400 active purchase ledger accounts
  • Liaising with suppliers via Email and telephone & dealing with internal departments to resolve queries
  • Other Ad-hoc finance duties as required

Essential Experience:

  • Able to use Pegasus CIS job costing and Sage 200 accounts, (would be advantageous, however, training will be provided)
  • Diligent and able to work to strict Group deadlines whilst still paying close attention to the detail
  • You will also be great at working both as an individual and as part of a small team in a fast-paced office environment
  • A Confident IT user with Strong Word, Excel skills
  • Possess good written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks
