Sellick Partnership is exclusively recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk on behalf of a well-established organisation in Newcastle-Under-Lyme, Staffordshire. This growing distribution company is a modern, forward-thinking and sociable business with a stable and friendly work force. The Purchase Ledger will sit within the stable/friendly finance team and will consist of the following duties:

  • Processing supplier purchase order invoices and non-purchase order invoices
  • Reconciling petty cash
  • Processing accounts payable and trial balance reports for month-end
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Liaising with suppliers and internal staff to resolve invoice queries
  • Allocating payments, refunds and credit notes to ensure all accounts are kept up-to-date
  • Processing payments
  • Reconciling intercompany statements

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Proven Purchase Ledger experience
  • Computer literate
  • The ability to work well under pressure and to tight deadlines
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to problem solve
