Sellick Partnership are exclusively recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk to join a growing and established business in Stafford. The purpose of the role is to provide efficient and effective purchase ledger support for the business, in accordance with set procedures, fixed timetables and management requirements.

Main duties of the Purchase Ledger Clerk include:

  • Purchase ledger postings - purchase invoices; purchase ledger payments
  • Control of Invoice outstanding log (updating for cost codes and cleared invoices)
  • Nominal ledger postings and payments including intercompany transactions
  • Raising of manual cheques, chaps and supplier BACS payment run and ensuring all suppliers are paid accurately and in line with agreed targets
  • Supplier statements reconciliation to purchase ledger
  • Working closely with other team members including another Purchase Ledger staff
  • Purchase ledger reporting such as 6 monthly report on outstanding/query purchase invoices
  • Other ad-hoc duties including Month-end tasks

The successful candidate will have the following:

  • Proven experience within a Purchase Ledger role
  • Strong Excel skills and IT literate
  • Positive attitude and a team player
  • Strong communication skills
