A Childcare solicitor is required to join a really superb, supportive local authority/ team in the South East. My client is looking for an experienced Childcare solicitor to join them on an initial 3 month basis and the role will remain remote.
The council will courier a laptop to you and they are very advanced with their systems/ technology; you will be given a laptop that you can also use as a phone.
As a Childcare solicitor you will carry a full caseload of Childcare matters, which will include Care cases, Pre-proceedings and some Private Law matters. Advocacy would be beneficial but counsel can be instructed.
Key responsibilities and examples of cases:
- Substance Misuse
- International cases with niche elements
- Non accidental injury cases
- Fictitious illness cases
- Advise on threshold and PLO matters
- Attend PLO and strategy meetings
Required skills and experience of the Private Client Solicitor:
- Qualified solicitor with a minimum of 4 years PQE experience
- Public Childcare Law experience within a Local Authority
