Repairs Supervisor (Aids and Adaptations)




My client, a renowned public sector organisation in Gainsborough has recently set up a new department to specialise within aids and adaptations

The client is therefore looking for an experienced Repairs Supervisor to help grow the team on a permanent basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity, with the team expected to grow by 100% within the next 2 years.

Responsibilities of the Aids and Adaptations Repairs Supervisor include:

  • Managing and motivating a team of x5 staff including; Technical Officer, Adaptations Engineers, Administrator and Customer Relationship Officer
  • Act as lead for the delivery of aids and adaptations to social housing properties
  • Identifying future growth activities
  • Planning programme delivery
  • Signing off completed works
  • Completing health and safety checks
  • Carrying out budget reviews and cost analysis

Essential experience for the Aids and Adaptations Repairs Supervisor include:

  • Supervision of a sizeable workforce
  • Knowledge of building construction and current regulations
  • Working knowledge of tender preparation and evaluation
  • Experience of using standard forms of contracts
  • UK Driver's license

Desirable experience for the Aids and Adaptations Repairs Supervisor role includes:

  • Knowledge of disabled facilities grants or aids and adaptations
  • NEBOSH or relevant health and safety qualification
  • Experience of Auto CAD
