Role & Company:

Qualified Actuary sought for a very well-known UK General Insurance business. Sellick Partnership are working closely with the Exec. of a niche but market leading UK insurer, which is owned by one of the world's largest insurance companies. As such it has seen sustained investment in its UK operation and has a very 'Actuarial friendly' culture with robust controls and processes in place.

They are now looking to recruit a deputy and eventual successor to the Chief Actuary. The role is highly varied and will undertake a project focus, covering a range of business as usual activities across Reserving, Capital, IFRS17 and Pricing.

You will act as the Actuarial sponsor for their IFRS17 project and help drive Actuarial input into the programme. This will require you to work closely with the wider Actuarial team as well as a range of other stakeholders. The role offers excellent variety and development opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Actuary essential.
  • Some Reserving or Capital experience (or equivalent) essential.
  • IFRS17 experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of leading projects and people.
  • Ambition to become Chief Actuary and apply for practising certificate.

Remuneration:

  • Highly competitive six figure salary.

  • Client willing to offer vast majority of time home working with travel to office once per month if desired.
