Senior Childcare Lawyer required to join a local authority based in London for an initial 6 month period with the possibility of extension thereafter.

The work will predominantly involve providing advice on and conduct of cases dealing with children's social services issues, care proceedings, and the handling of complex cases. As a Senior Childcare Lawyer you would be expected to cover the duty line wherever necessary.

Our client is looking for an experienced Childcare Lawyer who is able to take responsibility for a busy caseload and manage a small team. Due to the nature of the work, the ideal candidate would be able to undertake their own advocacy, however this is not essential.

The ideal applicant for this role will demonstrate previous experience of handling a local authority caseload in the following crucial areas;

  • Emergency applications
  • Care Proceedings
  • Adoption
  • Dealing with high profile cases

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills. Transport links within walking distance make this an easily commutable location.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
