Senior Childcare Lawyer required to join a local authority based in London on a locum contract to start in October.

This is a fantastic opportunity to undertake a senior Childcare role within a popular London Borough. There is a lovely environment at this local authority, with very supportive and friendly colleagues. They also offer flexible working, with the possibility of working from home 1-2 days a week.

This will be a dual role partly involving managerial responsibilities, as well managing a live caseload of child care matters.

You will be managing a team of childcare lawyers and paralegals, as well as deputising for the Head of Family Law as and when required, allowing you to further your experience.

The ideal candidate will come from a public sector background, although this is not essential as long as strong experience of handling public Childcare cases is held. Previous managerial experience is essential for this role, as is possessing a strong technical ability.

The ideal candidate will have excellent negotiating skills, a proactive approach to solving problems and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Alexis Aarons in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
