Our client, a local authority based in London is currently seeking a Senior Childcare Lawyer to join their legal team on a locum basis.

The client is seeking candidates that have experience of handling public childcare cases. This role is ideal for those who prefer case work, as not much advocacy is required due to in-house advocates.

You will be responsible for handling a caseload of around 8 care cases and some additional PLOs. You will also be required to attend contested hearings, final hearings and case management hearings and Issues Resolution Hearings (IRH). You will be required to deal with complex cases as and when they arise, especially those involving international matters.

This council holds an excellent reputation and there is also long term prospects for the future. The ideal candidate would have public sector experience, however they are happy to consider those with a private practice background.

We encourage interested applicants to apply immediately to be considered for short listing. Alternatively should you require further information or wish to discuss your suitability before applying please contact Rayhaneh Tehrani in our Manchester office for a confidential discussion.
