We are recruiting to a fantastic opportunity as a Senior Childcare Lawyer within a London Borough Council.

Our London Borough client is looking for a Senior Childcare Solicitor on a locum-basis. The contract is an initial 3 months with the likelihood to extend on an on-going basis. The role is fully remote, and they are looking to pay between £35 and £45 per hour.

The successful Senior Childcare Lawyer will be qualified as a Solicitor, Barrister or Legal Executive. They will ideally have experience of working within local government previously, as well as experience of managing a team.

The responsibilities of the role will include, but not limited to:

  • Managing a team of 15 including lawyers, paralegals and business support staff
  • Direct line manager duties and supervision
  • Conducting team meetings
  • Extensive legal research
  • Drafting notes and statements
  • Deputising for Principal Lawyer, when required
