Senior Childcare Lawyer required to join a local authority based in London for an initial 3 month period.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a Childcare team.
The work will predominantly involve providing advice on and conducting cases dealing with children's social services issues, care proceedings, and giving general advice to the client department. The role may also offer some management responsibilities when the Principal is away from the office so delegating experience would be desirable.
They are looking for an experienced Childcare Lawyer who is able to take responsibility for a busy caseload. Due to the nature of the work, this Childcare Lawyer will also be required to undertake advocacy, therefore it is important that the successful candidate has experience of conducting their own advocacy.
The ideal applicant for this role will demonstrate previous experience of handling a local authority caseload in the following essential areas;
● Emergency applications
● Care Proceedings
● Adoption
The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent organisational and time management skills. Transport links within walking distance make this an easily commutable location.
